Install Android 10 on Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite (LineageOS 17.1) – How to Guide!

Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite launched in March 2020. The handset came with Android 10 Q. Today we will guide you on how to install the Lineage OS 17.1 on Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite device by following our guide. This build is based on Lineage OS 17.1 GSI developed by XDA Recognized Contributor AndyYan . To install this, you need to unlock the bootloader and install the latest TWRP Recovery on your device.
 Well, GSI stands for Generic System image which is a “pure Android” implementation with unmodified Android Open Source Project (AOSP) code, runnable on a variety of Android devices that has treble support.  Yes, now you can enjoy the new Lineage OS 17.1 based on Android 10, which is Google’s 10th version of Android OS with plenty of new features and system UI changes. It is having a 6.57-inch screen which is capable to offer 1080 x 2400 resolution. This is an AMOLED which is a good option for gamers and video freaks. This device carries a Snapdragon 765G processor which makes it perform quite well and without facing any problem even during multitasking. It has two variants and they are 6GB and 8GB RAM. Both come with a default storage space of 128GB. Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite runs on Android 10based MIUI 11. It packs four cameras on the rear with a primary 48MP lens while the other 3 lenses are of 8, 5 and 2 MP. The selfie camera comes with a single lens of 16MP with good picture clarity. What’s on Android 10?
This year (2019) Google has released the latest version of Android called Android 10. As the name suggests, it’s the 10th iteration of Android OS and offers the most stable & secure user experience than the previous generation Android 9 Pie. Android 10 brings plenty of new features and system improvements like improved gestures navigation, enhanced privacy & location control, improved app permissions, etc. It also includes a system-wide dark mode, live caption, focus mode, foldable display support, 5G connectivity compatible, chats bubble, smart reply, improved security updates, family link, better notifications, and more.

Lineage OS 17.1: Android 10 Build
Lineage OS is an open-source and free operating system that is based on the Android platform. It is the successor to the custom MOD, the CyanogenMod, which shut down its operation in December 2016. However, Cyanogen. Inc retained the rights to the custom MOD and gave a rebranding to it as Lineage OS.

Well, LineageOS 17 will be based on the latest Android 10 and it comes with all the Android 10 features and Lineage customization options which allows users to be more advanced. Now you can enjoy Lineage OS 17.1 on Nokia 9 PureView by flashing this custom ROM.

It will erase all your data, so we advise you first to take a complete backup of your phone and then proceed.

Instructions to Install

1. First Download & Install a Custom Recovery on your device (TWRP is recommended) If you already have installed then skip this step.


2. Download GSI ROM file and save it on your device’s internal storage or SD Card.


3. Now Boot your device into TWRP Recovery Mode. (if you don’t know how to boot your device into twrp recovery then you can search it on Google)


4. Now in TWRP create a Nandroid Backup of your device for safer side. If anything goes wrong, you can restore back to your older ROM. (How to Take Nandroid Backup)


5. Now do a Factory Reset of your device, Goto WipeAdvanced WipeSelect CacheDalvik CacheSystem, and Data. Then Swipe to Wipe.


6. Now go back to TWRP Main Menu by pressing the Center navigation button.


7. Now Select Install, Locate the GSI ROM  file and Swipe to Confirm Flash.


8. After ROM flashing completes, Select Wipe cache/dalvik from the bottom left side of the screen, & Swipe to Wipe.


9. After wipe completes, Click on Reboot System.


That’s it Now you have successfully installed the latest Android on your device, first boot will take some time so please don’t panic!
