Galaxy M12/F12: First Renders of Samsung’s 2021 budget king!

The Galaxy S21 series will probably remain the hottest subject for the remainder of the year as far as unannounced Samsung smartphones go, but behind closed doors the Korean tech giant is planning a slew of new devices for launch in the first half of 2021, starting from the Galaxy S21 to what could be the most affordable handset next year the Galaxy M12.

A series of 3D renders obtained by @OnLeaks has completely revealed the external architecture of the Galaxy M12. They highlight a budget phone fitted with four rear-facing cameras embedded in a camera hump that looks clearly inspired by the 5G Galaxy A42. The phone has a fingerprint sensor mounted on the side and a moderately large bezel Infinity-V panel. There seems to be a USB-C port on the unit as well as a 3.5mm audio port at the right.

According to the article, the handset is said to measure 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.9mm and the flat display has a 6.5-inch diagonal. If this is an LCD or OLED screen, the pixel count is uncertain and it remains to be seen.

Renders Leaked by OnLeaks

Galaxy M12 / F12 measures at 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.9mm

The phone revealed by the leaked renders has a matte, patterned finish coupled with a glossy lower back cover, but in different markets, Samsung can ship the same smartphone with another color scheme. There is no strong evidence, to be exact, that the renderers at hand are for the Galaxy M12 or the Galaxy F12. The renderers can show both, theoretically speaking.

The Galaxy M12 and F12 will certainly be the same system with different names and potentially color schemes, just as the Galaxy F41 is a rebranded Galaxy M31. In India, the Galaxy F12 known by model numbers M127F/F127G is already in production, and a huge 7,000mAh battery is rumored to be in place. The same should be done for the Galaxy M12.
